Vector Solutions delivers services and products for learning, operational readiness, workforce management and risk management to the commercial, education and public sectors. Our education brands help make schools safer and more effective with subscription-based programs for staff and student training, bullying/incident reporting, accident reporting, SDS management, special education, educator evaluation, and professional development tracking.

 

As a Product Manager, you will create and own the software product roadmap for solutions focused on crisis and incident prevention, management, reporting and remediation within K12 and higher education environments. This will require engagement with clients to understand pain points, collaboration with software development teams on requirements, delivery and testing, coordination with sales and marketing on go-to-market strategies and support of client success to resolve client issues.  

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own the roadmap for best-in-class software solutions
  • Engage with clients and internal stakeholders to document requirements and identify emerging needs
  • Analyze market requirements and opportunities, competitive products and develop business cases
  • Coordinate with marketing and sales on product launches and go-to-market strategies
  • Collaborate with software development to create UI mockups, functional designs, product requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Work with software development teams to plan, specify and deliver roadmap requirements
  • Test new product features before release, provide feedback and prioritize issues
  • Track performance of products to assess success and communicate delivery against metrics
  • Collaborate with client success as the product subject matter expert to resolve client issuesTrack roadmap progress and proactively communicate progress and impediments to stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technology or a business related field
  • Three to five years software product management experience – preferably within a SaaS business
  • Experience in K12 and higher education markets preferred
  • Experience working with an agile development team is a plus

  • Ability to document and communicate complex client requirements and business processes

  • Ability to manage multiple projects with shifting requirements and priorities and deliver on schedule
  • Ability to quickly identify roadblocks, formulate solutions, enroll stakeholders and escalate as needed
  • Ability to make complex connections and visualize opportunities to make 1+1 = 3
