    Responsibilities

    • Lead the migration to AWS for on-prem applications
    • Project manage Infrastructure implementation and evaluation
    • Build, maintain, and support production and non-production environments within AWS
    • Drive automation and employ infrastructure as code approach when creating environments
    • Implement a CI/CD pipeline for key products
    • Lead server-related maintenance such as patching, account maintenance, and configuring backups
    • Triage and resolve Production incidents related to the cloud platform and the applications that run there
    • Participate in root cause analysis and post mortem discussions
    • Build effective monitoring, alerts, and metrics for production services and applications
    • Ensure system scalability, redundancy, and failover mechanisms are working and tested
    • Provide support to Development and QA teams around automation and CI/CD pipeline
    • Provide support for application deployments
    • Develop and document processes to support ongoing development, change control, and production maintenance
    • Provide after-hours support as needed

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related technical field or equivalent experience in a technical position
    • 4+ years working in AWS
    • 3+ years Windows Administration experience
    • Experience leading on-prem to AWS migrations
    • Solid knowledge of AWS platform and its services - including but not limited to: AMIs, Route53, VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, AWS CLI, EBS, ELB, SQS, CloudWatch, CloudTrail
    • Experience installing, configuring and supporting complex Cloud based applications
    • Experience administering web servers running Apache, Tomcat, IIS, Nginx
    • Some programming / scripting experience (Java, Perl, Ruby, Python, bash, PowerShell)
    • Experience with system health and performance monitoring tools (CloudWatch, SolarWinds, Nagios, New Relic, SumoLogic, Splunk)
    • Networking experience including IPsec, VPN, DNS, certificate management, load balancing, firewalls and routing
    • Experience working with Lambda
    • Experience deploying Infrastructure using Terraform
    • Chef automation and configuration management experience
    • Experience implementing and supporting CICD pipelines with Octopus
    • 3+ years DevOps experience
    • Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
    • Experience with Git/GitHub
    • Desire and ability to learn new technologies quickly
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Strong customer focusSelf-motivated, problem solver

    Nice to have:

    • Experience with other CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and CircleCI
    • Linux System Administration experience
    • PowerShell scripting
    • Experience with Docker and container orchestration
    • Experience with RDBMS technologies (Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL)
